Well we’ve made it to the other side of the long winter! We took a week off last week and headed to our favorite, local campground, Piney in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area!
This was our first camping trip of the season AND our first week-long trip! We now have ticked off 4 nights in the camper. We are hoping we will get close to 30 nights this year if we camp once a month until Fall.
We had a pretty nice and mild week of weather and we enjoyed our campsite that had great views of Kentucky Lake but wasn’t directly on the lake side. The kids absolutely LOVED camping this past week even on the chilly and windy days. They loved being outside and we loved doing so many fun things around the campground.
We had such a fun time just enjoying being together. Michael’s parents and my Aunt and Uncle were also camping down there part of the week so we loved being able to visit with them. We also explored some of the things around LBL that we never seem to have time to even though we live right near them. We went to the Elk and Bison Range and to the 1950s Homeplace. I will share those pictures next time.
Your trip sure looked like fun! I hope your spring is nice than our; it has been so cold and windy! We have only been out for 2 nights.

It’s turned off cold here again this week. It was pretty windy our last days there and it stormed one night. We found out that it’s really hard to sleep in the camper (our bed is over the hitch and slides out) when it’s storming. It’s really loud! LOL
